Instructions for installing Nether Ores Mod step by step:

You must install Minecraft Forge first, in order to use this mod. Follow 7 steps below to install the mod. Note: With this mod may require other mods to work; see details below.

1. The very first thing to do is make certain you installed Minecraft Forge.
2. Run Minecraft with Forge installed at least once to generate the necessary files and folders.
3. Download the mod using the link below.
4. Locate the Minecraft Application Folder:
   On Windows: open Run from the start menu, type %appdata%.minecraft and click Run.
   On MAC OS X: open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for minecraft.
5. Place Nether Ores Mod file Jar into your Mods folder. If you don’t have one, create it now.
6. Play Minecraft with the latest Forge version, or the version of your choice.
7. Have fun!

What is Nether Ores Mod ?

Nether Ores Mod for Minecraft makes several ores – coal, diamond, gold, iron, lapis, redstone, copper, tin (if using those) – spawn in the nether so that you have a reason to go there mine.

The Nether Ores explode when interacted with Vanilla items, though there are items from other mods which will not cause the Nether Ores to explode. They include:

• The Mining Laser. Since it automatically drops the Ore, it does not explode. When used on Heat Mode, it will drop the corresponding Overworld Ore.
• The Nova Catalyst’or any other form of it. Like the Mining Laser, the Catalyst does not interact with the block; it simply drops it. The Destruction Catalyst is especially favorable in these situations.
• The Red Morning Star. The right-click effect of the Red Morning Star works much like a Nova Catalyst, dropping the blocks without explosion. In addition, the speed of the Morning Star when mining makes the Ores less likely to explode.

Once the Nether Ores are mined, there are several ways to process them. The most simple way is to smelt the Ore in a regular Furnace. This will simply yield the corresponding Overworld Ore, which then must be smelted again to receive the material. Note this does not apply with all ores.

Alternatively, the player could place the Ores in a Macerator . This will’double’the amount of dusts the Overworld counterpart would give, with the exception of Diamond, Coal and Redstone, which give two Diamond, Two Coal and 6 Redstone Dust.

Trivia:

• When mining Nether Ores with a Mining Laser, or Nova Catalyst /above,’Zombie Pigmen won’t become aggressive. (Tested in both SMP and SSP.)
• Like Netherrack, Nether Ores can be destroyed by Ghast Fireballs. They may even explode.
• Nether Ores mined by Miners, Quarries, Block Breakers or Mining Turtles also have a chance to explode.
• Every time you mine a ore it has a chance of making another ore in the’same‘vein explode
• When about to explode the ore that will explode will smoke and if mined in time will not explode

How to install:

• Download’Minecraft Forge
• Install PowerCrystals Core (For Minecraft 1.6.4 or older).
• Install’CoFH Core‘(For Minecraft 1.7.10 and newer).
• Right click, Run as Administrator and press OK to install Forge. (You can skip this step if you’ve installed Minecraft Forge)
• Open Start on desktop => Open Run (Or you can use the Windows +R keyboard shortcut)
• Type %appdata% into Run and press enter
• Go to folder /.minecraft/mods
• Put the jar file of’mod‘into mods folder and then run Minecraft. Done!

Minecraft Forge (Modding API) Installation:

• Quick download Minecraft forge
• Select the Minecraft forge you want to download.
• Click ok to install (Requires computer to install Java).

• Wait for the system to install Minecraft Forge.
• After successful installation, you will receive a notification.

• Open Run By keyboard shortcuts (Windows+R), type %appdate% to open .minecraft folder
• Create a new folder and name it Mods. If not, create a folder called Mods.
• Run with forge, You will see Minecraft Forge in the lower-left corner and the Mods button under Multiplayer.
